Overview of Position
'Te Pae Tawhiti - Our Future' is about the Ministry's (MSD) future role and how we can make a bigger and better difference for New Zealanders. Our Te Pae Tawhiti transformation programme will deliver services that are easier and more accessible, and with a greater use of partnering will be better integrated across employment, housing, and income support. The programme will also modernise our technology, data and information to support this business change.

The Learning Architect will play a lead role in designing an approach that delivers the skills and confidence that our workforce requires to help New Zealanders to be safe, strong and independent.

Skills and Experience

In this newly created position you will work directly with the Organisational Development & Learning team and a range of Change Portfolios - providing expertise in enterprise wide instructional design and curriculum development that supports our transformation journey.

You will be comfortable providing strategic and operational advice and guidance to the different programme workstreams leads to support organisational change.

As a serious contender for this role you will ideally have;

  • Experience in delivering highly effective learning strategies and designs that fit within the operational constraints of a large and complex client centred organisation
  • Exposure to and knowledge of working in an agile environment with an ability to work with ambiguity, and pragmatically change priorities based on need
  • Experience working on highimpact and complex initiatives and delivering outcomes in a dynamic project environment
  • Ability to collaborate and influence effectively across multiple groups and management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Patience, and a great sense of humour
