About the role

Are you passionate about Palmy? Are you eager to contribute to the presentation of the City? We are looking for a Cleaner to keep Palmys' amenities bright and sparkling for our community to enjoy

We are looking for an experienced cleaner who is able to work independently with little supervision.

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Friday to Tuesday, 6.00am to 2.30pm

Your focus in this role will include:

• To clean areas to a given policy, standard and specification.
• The safe handling and operation of all plant, machinery, equipment and chemicals.
• To keep accurate records such as timesheets, plant operating sheets and report all accidents, actual or potential.
• Maintain communication with the Cleaning Coordinator and all other key stakeholders.
• Ensure all health and safety standards and procedures are understood and complied with.

About you

You will be working in the public, so you'll need to talk to and relate with people from all different backgrounds. You'll be representing the Council, so need to remain professional and efficient.

On a day-to-day basis you may be required to perform manual handling tasks, so you need to be reasonably fit.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:

• A current driver's licence is essential and must be able to drive a manual vehicle.
• Prior experience in property cleaning.
• Knowledge of machinery care and operation would be an advantage.
