About the Opportunity

Our Studholme site is in the Waimate region, located 25 minutes South of Timaru, producing whole milk powder, buttermilk powder and whey protein concentrate.

The site is capable of producing 5.4 metric tonnes of whole milk powder every hour and has a tight knit team of people working together to produce great outcomes.

We have an exciting opportunity for a supervisor - Processing to deliver outstanding results in our manufacturing operations.

Key to this role is your leadership ability - as a supervisor you'll be on the factory floor using your leadership experience to coach and manage a great team of Operators.

Keeping a strong focus on Health & Safety, you'll be monitoring our processing lines while optimising plant efficiency and operating costs.

You will supervise day-to-day processes to meet and optimize operational targets, product specifications, regulatory requirements, administrative systems and functional relationships.

Your mechanical aptitude will allow you to confidently run diagnostics and problem solve on computerised machinery, and your strong attention to detail will ensure you can keep an eye on quality control and maintain product to tight customer specifications, while ensuring documentation is up to date.

Reporting to our Process Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

• Supervising production and packing processes to meet operational targets
• Planning and allocating work & resources, managing time and attendance systems
• Providing feedback on staff performance and development
• Participating in the recruitment process and resolving people issues
• Driving a positive, Health & Safety focused team culture.

_ This is a permanent position with a rostered shift of four on (two days, two nights of 12-hour shifts) and four off which provides an excellent work life balance._
