GENERAL SUMMARY:

Position:
Assistant Store Manager

Primary focus:
Support Store Manager in motivating and inspiring a team to achieve store productivity goals.

Reports to:
Store Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overall operation and performance of the store.
  • Concentrate on customer service, sales, merchandising, staff supervision, training/development, loss prevention, and expense control.
  • Collaborate in hiring, training, and development of store associates in both operations and merchandising.
  • We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager who is passionate about driving store productivity and supporting a highperforming team. In this role, you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the store's success by focusing on various key areas, including customer service, sales, merchandising, staff supervision, training/development, loss prevention, and expense control.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to motivate and inspire the team to achieve store productivity goals. By providing guidance and support, you will help create a positive and productive work environment that fosters exceptional customer service and maximizes sales opportunities.
  • As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play an integral role in the overall operation and performance of the store. You will actively contribute to maintaining a high standard of customer service, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for every customer. Additionally, you will assist in implementing effective merchandising strategies to optimize product presentation and drive sales.
  • Supervising and training the store associates will be a key part of your role. You will actively participate in the hiring process and contribute to the training and development of all store associates, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

Your ability to multitask, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with the Store Manager and the team will contribute to the overall success of the store.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Experience: 5-8 years of experience in a retail environment.

Barista Coffee: 5-8 years of experience in high paced coffee environment

Approved handler: Should be an approved LPG handler for both Automotive and gas bottle filling.

Trainning: Relevant industry qualification training in regards to fuel & lubricants handling.

Administrative: General administrative skills such as month end roll over, Received on accounts and accounts payable.

Weekend Work & After hours: Available to work on the weekends and after hours.

Stocktake: Ability to complete an efficient stocktake each month.

Ordering: 5-8 years of experience in ordering products & services as this will be a key requirement.

Pricing: Experience required in terms of pricing goods to the customers, and set a price for products which are stocked.

Trade conferences: Ability to attend trade conferences when required.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to solve problems efficiently.

Project Management: Proficiency in project management, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.

Management Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in management, including team leadership and coordination.

Valet: Experience in Valet cars and keeping a track of log book & entries.

Wet stock reconciliation: Experience in keeping a record of wet stock as per industry standards.

Salary:
$30.00 per hour
