WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO: 

Flight software provides critical support to vehicle systems during launch and on orbit, operating launch vehicle and spacecraft avionics, collecting and distributing telemetry and commands, and hosting guidance, navigation and control software and algorithms. 

Flight Software Engineers are responsible for creation, maintenance and support of software components, functions or services on the Electron launch vehicle, and associated ground-based communication systems.

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

An engineering degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent qualification3+ years of demonstrated applicable experience in embedded software developmentSoftware development within a Linux environment, specifically embedded applicationsProficiency in C and C++ languages and development environmentsDemonstrated success working in a dynamic environment with multiple prioritiesDocument management & software systems engineering experience

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:

Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as uC/OS or FreeRTOSExperience with Embedded Linux, including deployment (e.g. Yocto)Experience writing embedded software within a multi-threaded/multi-processor environmentProficiency developing embedded software to interface with serial (UART, SPI, 12C) devicesExperience developing software and drivers with CAN/CAN-FD and/or UDP/TCP within an embedded systemExperience developing within PythonExperience working within an agile workflow
